A senior at Wolsey-Wessington High School, Roxy exemplifies excellence in academics, athletics, and community involvement. Balancing a perfect 4.0 GPA with impressive achievements in multiple sports, she’s a true role model.
Roxy has excelled in softball, volleyball, and even track and field throughout her high school years. A core member of her softball team for seven years, she’s shone as a left center fielder, second baseman, and consistent fourth batter. In volleyball, her leadership helped her team reach the State Volleyball Tournament twice, earning third place in 2022 and sixth in 2023. Her coach, Lindy Uttecht, praises her dedication, leadership, and work ethic. Roxy even dabbled in track, competing in shotput, discus, and pole vaulting—showing her willingness to tackle new challenges.
Off the field, Roxy’s achievements are just as remarkable. She’s active in FFA, HOSA, and the National Honor Society, continually building leadership skills and giving back to her community. Every Sunday, she assists at her church, supporting Sunday School teachers and managing livestreams, demonstrating her compassion and service mindset.
Sports have taught Roxy adaptability, teamwork, and communication—life skills that will carry her far. This fall, she’ll pursue nursing at Southeast Technical College on the Huron Community campus, ready to make a difference in healthcare.
