GETTING TO KNOW CAROLINE WANAZEK:

Favorite Class: Any English class because I love to read and write.

Favorite Food: Any type of pasta!

Favorite Way to Spend Free Time: I love to go to Yo Mamas with friends and hike in the summers.

Sports Highlight: Winning a state championship this year definitely stands out as one of the most memorable moments of my high school career. It’s been a goal of mine to win the 100 butterfly since I was a freshman, and I’m so happy that all my hard work finally paid off!

Recognitions & Activities: 3.97 GPA, Varsity swmming Captain, 16 Event State Qualifier, State Champion (200 Medley Relay, 100 Freestyle Relay, 100 Butterfly), First Team All-State (200 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay, 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle), All-American Consideration (200 IM), GMC Scholar Athlete, All-State Academic, GMC Athlete of the Year, USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, Student-Athlete Impact Club, Student Council, Principals’ Cabinet, swim instructor, social media marketing intern.

Fun Fact: I am intentional about eating healthy, and besides pasta, some of my favorite foods are oatmeal, cottage cheese, and Catalina Crunch.

Next Plans: I plan to attend University of Wisconsin-Madison to continue swimming at the collegiate level. I will be studying at the School of Business, with a strong interest in real estate.
