GETTING TO KNOW RECE HOPFENSPERGER:
Favorite Athlete or Sports Figure: I am inspired by Tim Tebow’s humility, leadership, and service to his community. He’s taken his athletic talent and fame to invest in communities and others around him.
Favorite Quote: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
Favorite Way to Spend Free time: I love lifting, training, and being outdoors, anything that keeps me active.
Sports Highlight: One of my favorite highlights was during my junior year when we beat Brookfield East in a really close football game. It came down to the very last play when a sophomore teammate made an incredible catch in the end zone to win the game. It was such an intense and exciting moment, and celebrating together afterward was unforgettable because it showed how close our team had become.

Fun Fact: I floss every night.
Next Plans: I plan to attend a four-year university where I can pursue a pre-med program. My biggest goal is to become a physician and use my education to serve people in parts of the world where access to healthcare is limited. I want to combine medicine, service, and leadership to make a difference beyond my own community. If the opportunity is the right fit, I also hope to continue competing in athletics at the collegiate level while pursuing these goals.
