GETTING TO KNOW HAYDEN FRY:

Favorite Food: Pepperoni and pineapple pizza

Favorite Quote: When I am on the water, I always tell myself, “It only takes one cast.”

Favorite Pre-game Song: Taylor Swift is my go-to.

How did you get started in your sport? My mom grew up a saltwater angler in San Francisco and shared her passion with me when I was a little kid. I grew up fishing with my parents and friends. At the age of 9, I told my family I wanted to become a professional bass fisherman.

Sport Highlights: Placing 4th at State my sophomore and senior season year; winning the State Championship junior season.

Recognitions: Founder and President of Brookfield East Bass Anglers, 2022 WI State Champion, All-American, Academic All-State Honors

Activities: Bass angler, Eagle Scout, Senior Patrol Leader, Varsity wrestling team manager, golf

Fun Fact: Brookfield East is the 1st high school in WI eligible to receive a varsity letter for fishing. The Beast Anglers has 70 members.

Next Plans: I committed to McKendree University to compete on their bass fishing team. I was admitted into the honors program to major in business administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance.
