RAED SOUDAH

Brookfield East High School

Wrestling, Team Captain

GETTING TO KNOW RAED SOUDAH:

Favorite Food: Buffalo Wild Wings after a wrestling tournament with my team.

Favorite Quote: “If it were easy everyone would do it.”

Favorite Pre-game Song: Gonna Fly Now – Bill Conti

How did you get started in your sport? I began wrestling after my gym coach suggested it to me in 7th grade and have continued every year through senior season. I was hesitant at first, but it soon became one of my favorite things.

Sport Highlight: Watching the final wrestling match to decide if the Spartan team would qualify for state, which we hadn’t made for many years. It was a great team accomplishment to wrestle at state!

Recognitions: Captain, Varsity State Semi-Qualifier, Varsity Team State

Activities: Wrestling, Soccer, Student Council, National Hispanic Honor Society

Interesting Fact: I am partially colorblind. I didn’t realize I was colorblind until the beginning of middle school. My impairment is with blue/purple, and red/green/orange.

Next Plans: Attend a 4-year university like University of Wisconsin-Madison or Marquette University. It will be a great experience if the opportunity comes along to compete in wrestling at the collegiate level.
